Mother's Day!

Hi! I just finished this Mother's Day card that I'm giving Mom this Sunday. My husband and I are taking our Moms (and my Dad gets to tag along) out for a nice brunch at a local little cafe to celebrate.

We've had a really rough year. My Mom has Alzheimer's Disease. There have been a lot of ups and downs not to mention some major drama from my Momma! There are good days and bad and then really bad, but we're all doing our best. I just want to enjoy the time we get to spend together and be thankful for each day she's still with us.

The ducklings are me and my sister, I guess. Can't decide who is which duckling. I'm thinking my sister is the obnoxious one at the end...hehe.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for sharing and for the encouraging comments. I did pick up that book last month and it's been such a huge help. What a great book! :)

What a beautiful painting! Hahaha, the little duckie on the end makes me giggle.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. My father in law had Alzheimer's for almost 20 years.

I know everyone is different, and I don't want to give advice pretentiously... but I just read an article this week about how beneficial apples are, and particularly apple juice. About two glasses per day helped reverse some early signs of Alzheimer's in some studies.

hugs to you
